Cambridge IGCSE has one of the most internationally recognized curriculums for students between the ages of 14 and 16, and their qualifications are recognized and valued worldwide.

Schools all over the world have been helping in the development of Cambridge IGSCE, which provides excellent preparation for the next level of Cambridge, including Cambridge International AS, A Levels and Cambridge Pre-U, as well as other avenues of progression.

This Curriculum englobes the best of international education for students of this level, developing as needed, being regularly updated and broadened. Cambridge IGCSE teachers can count on excellent resources, preparation and advice from experts in the subject.

The Cambridge IGCSE encourages teaching student-centred learning and research. It develops students’ abilities in terms of critical thinking, research and problem solving, enabling students to prepare themselves for the next level of education. Schools can choose to build a core curriculum and expand it by adapting to their students and introducing a cross-curricular perspective. Cambridge IGCSE is compatible with other programs and is internationally relevant and responsive to different needs and cultures.

Schools can offer different combinations of disciplinary subjects.
Each subject is certified separately. More than 70 subjects are available, including courses with more than 30 languages, offering different courses for students with different abilities.

The Cambridge IGCSE Assessment consists of oral and written tests, courses and practical assessments. Schools have the option of evaluating students using only external exams, in most cases combining exams with course assignments. The course is defined and marked by the teacher and externally moderated by Cambridge. Teachers who receive Cambridge training or who have adequate experience can evaluate these courses.
In most curricular units, there is the possibility of choosing a basic or more comprehensive curriculum, making the IGCSE suitable for a large group of students with different levels of abilities.
Student performance is assessed through eight internationally recognized assessment levels.
There are clear guidelines that explain the degree of performance at different levels.
The IGCSE Cambridge examination period occurs twice a year, in May / June and in October / November. The results are issued in August and January respectively.
